Tony is a 61 year old father of two adult children, and recently, grandfather to a beautiful baby girl.. He has a genetic disorder called Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) which causes cysts to grow in the kidneys and fill with fluid. His kidneys are taken over by cysts which has caused his kidneys to fail. He is on dialysis. While dialysis is keeping Tony alive, his health continues to deteriorate. 

Tony has an adult daughter, a New granddaughter, and an adult son..  

If you choose to donate:

You don’t actually need to be a match for Tony to  donate.

If you donate on his behalf, your kidney would be matched with the best match while Tony would be matched with the best possible match for him. This could touch (AND SAVE) multiple lives!

Rest assured, your remaining kidney will keep you healthy! The extensive testing for donation makes sure of that!

 All  costs associated with donating are covered and the time off for donation is usually less than 2 weeks.

Tony  spends 10 hours a night hooked up to the dialysis machine. His energy level is so low that  dialysis is all he has the energy for. No social life, no fun stuff, just struggling to live.

 We have exhausted our family resources for kidney donation; PKD is hereditary so there are multiple family members affected which limits the donation ability.  

Tony has recently had to stop working, as his condition and Dialysis treatments make it difficult for him to leave home for any substantial length of time.
